Since we have not shipped an Icebox Intake out of the Country since purchasing the business in January 2010 we were excited when Dave E. contacted us from British Columbia. This really helped us figure out a few things about the process of shipping to Canada so Thanks Dave!
So Dave called just after he received his new Gen 2 Dodge Cummins Icebox Intake just after the July 4th weekend to let us know that he received it just fine and that it cost him about $42 additional for the Canadian Customs and added charges after it arrived. Shipping through USPS was about $55.00 on this end. So in this case it was almost $100 for shipping this intake into British Columbia in Canada. Not bad considering.
Dave also sent some photos and shared this with us
The install took about twenty minutes. My overhead has dropped from 14.2 liters per hundred kilometers to 14.1 liters per hundred kilometers. What does this mean due to the tank having 475 kilometers on it already. It means that I’m expecting to see a fuel mileage increase.
Thanks Dave! Here are the photos that Dave shared with his new Dodge Cummins Gen 2 Icebox Cold Air Intake installed. You can click on these photos to enlarge them if you want. Dave ordered the Medium Blue Lid with the Black Mini Texture lower base powder coating. Plus he got the S&B Filter that is custom made for Icebox Intakes, the IB-4510.
I remember when Dave first called me to order his intake I remember what he said to me “Your Icebox Intake just makes the best sense out of all the intakes that I have seen out there!” That really said a lot to me “It just makes sense” and that is because it is just a simple yet effective cold air intake and it works great, just like it was designed.
