At the last minute we decided to set up a booth at the 20th Annual 2010 Super Show and Swap Meet in Colorado Springs last weekend. Since this was the first show that we have done since purchasing Icebox Intakes we were scrambling to get everything together in just a few days but we were up to the challenge and felt we did a good job considering. And we got a great response and lots of interest in our custom cold air intakes.
We had on display on the right side one of our Ford Powerstroke Intakes that fits the 1999-2003 models and it has an S&B IB-4090 filter installed. This intake color is a medium blue box and gloss black lid and it is a great looking intake.
The center intake is one of our Gen 2 Dodge Cummins intakes and it has a satin black base and a bright yellow lid. This intake is one of our most popular models and it of course comes in many other color choices. It uses the the IB-4510 filter or the Amsoil EaAU4510 which is the blue filter to the left of the intake in the photo above.
The intake on the left is our new Duramax Cold Air Intake and we fitted an S&B IB-4091 filter to it and just look at all that filter volume! Awesome. This one has a black base with a special order translucent blue lid.
Just out of the photo on the left side is one of our other very popular intakes and that is our Gen 3 Dodge Cummins cai. This one has a bright red base and a hi gloss silver lid and it has a IB-4091 filter installed in it also just like the one in the Duramax intake.
We also took with us some of the S&B and Green Filter cleaning and re-oiling kits as we carry both of them. We are really liking the Green Filter kits a lot because of their synthetic oil in a spray bottle and this oil will not affect your mass air flow sensors. In fact you can spray this Green Filter oil right on your mass air flow sensor and it will not affect it….not that we are suggesting that you do this…the point is that it is a break through in filter oil and it also creates a positive/negative charge so that it attracts the dust and dirt to it for better filtration. You should give this filter oil a try. We carry it in various colors like blue, red, green and clear.
We enjoyed the show and met a lot of really nice people and contacts and learned a lot about what we might do differently at the next show. Thanks Colorado Springs. Oh yeah another highlight was our first visit to Famous Dave’s BBQ…<smile>…and honestly this was the best BBQ that we have had in a long long time.
I was really excited to visit Famous Dave’s as I had never heard about it until I watched this video by Mike Koenigs where he introduces Dave as he cooks his Famous Wild Rice Soup. But it wasn’t the soup that was the highlight although it is awesome it was the business success ideas that Dave shared that was really exciting such as we make our own economy. Hope you watch the video too and see what I mean. It must be working because the first night there was a 45 minute wait and so we decided to try to come earlier the next night instead and still had to wait 40 minutes but it was well worth the wait.
It’s always fun to go to a show and also experience some of the local flavor…we love Colorado Springs!
